No representative in the EU/EEA has been appointed under Art. 27 GDPR, as Richold does not offer goods or services to, or monitor the behaviour of, individuals in the EU/EEA.

Private inquiries. When you submit the inquiry form we receive your name, company, email address, the scope of your interest and the content of your message. These fields are provided voluntarily by you.

Website usage. We record page views and document downloads. Each event carries a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser, the page path, the referring website, any campaign parameters in the link you followed, and the name of the document opened or downloaded. We do not record your name, email address or IP address in these events, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking technologies.

Server logs. Our hosting provider processes technical connection data, including IP addresses, for the purpose of delivering and securing the site.

Inquiry data is processed to respond to your request and to manage a possible or existing business relationship. Under the GDPR the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) (steps prior to a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) (our legitimate interest in handling business correspondence). Under the FADP the processing is justified by your submission of the request.

Website usage data — pages viewed, the order in which they were viewed during a visit, the time spent on each page and clicks on published documents — is processed to understand how the site and our published documents are used. The measurement is first-party and anonymous: no third-party analytics service is involved and no profile is built about an identifiable person. Under the GDPR the legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how our published material is used, Art. 6(1)(f). You may object at any time, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes the stored identifier — see our Cookie & Tracking Notice.

Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and available website, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The site and its database are operated on infrastructure provided by our technology partners, which may store and process data in the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA, the transfer is protected by the European Commission and Swiss Federal Council adequacy decisions where applicable, or otherwise by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the Swiss addendum.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Inquiry records are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and to document the resulting business relationship, and thereafter for the applicable Swiss statutory retention period of ten years for business correspondence.

Website usage events are kept for a maximum of 24 months and are then deleted.

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Under the GDPR you additionally have the rights to restriction of processing and to data portability, and you may withdraw any consent you have given.

To exercise these rights, write to info@richold.com. We may ask for information to verify your identity before responding.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern, or, if you are in the EEA, with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted transport, restricted database access and role-based internal permissions. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; please do not send confidential commercial information through the public form.
